Product design & development
With 20 years experience in product development, we can support the mechanical design of your product. We collaborate with trusted partners to support your device in other areas such as software and electronics. Bound Design works within the medical device industry and operate within client’s ISO 13485 quality system.
Project management
As well as providing expertise in development of products, part of our core business is successful project management and strategical leadership for your project. Working to agile methodologies, we use a number of tools to help visualise and streamline project goals.
Technology transfer
We can work with your existing supply chain, or introduce new suppliers to support the transfer of your product to manufacture, this includes both prototyping and final manufacture. For low cost product manufacture, including early stage prototypes, Bound Design has a trusted and experienced supply chain based in China. Projects are closely monitored including full inspection of parts before shipping to the UK. A number of our suppliers work within ISO9001 and ISO13485.
Scale up and funding support
Having worked with a number of start ups, we can offer advice and mentoring to those embarking on product development for the first time. We have extensive experience working with funding bodies such as Innovate UK and Scottish Enterprise. We can support your funding application to help secure project capital, this includes bid writing and project cost estimation.
